50 Down The Way

It’s 4 pm I’m waiting to go it must be my lucky day
But Imbi’s jammed its part of a scam to keep me in disarray
So I’m gonna wait it out, I think I’m gonna wait it out

It’s 5pm I’m feeling the heat I just wanna push off for home
But my feet are tied by chains you helped me forge on my own
So I’m gonna wait it out, I think I’m gonna wait it out

So I’m gonna wait it out, bide my time
Sit here in my place
Surrounded by paneled walls, nice and tall
The reward for all the days
Where we all sit and learn, memorising words we burn
Watch the young as they fall into place

Its 6 pm I’m still in a bind the jam ends in Timbuktu
I’m amazed how we survive so long being told everything but the truth
So we’re gonna wait it out, till you end your selfish ways
Your time will come, I’m not alone, don’t push us away x2
Your time will come, I’m not alone yea

I think its time you all start to see, get a better grip on reality
Try and do your jobs without filling bank with change

So we’re gonna wait it out, another 50 down the way
And I’ll be hanging out, singing this song just like today
While we all sit and learn, thinking about how we all burn
Watch the young as they fall into place x2
Watch the young as they fall yea
